Marketing should make your business clearer.
Not louder.
I’m Amy Crawford. I run the content and website projects for businesses that are better than their marketing makes them look.

The best marketing is usually already in the business.
Good content almost never comes out of a brainstorming session. It’s already there, in how a business solves a problem, walks someone through their options, notices the detail nobody else noticed, handles the customer who’s had a bad experience elsewhere.
My job is to find that, organise it, and turn it into something people outside the business can understand. Some months that’s a month of social posts. Some months it’s a service page that finally explains the thing properly, or a whole site rebuilt around the questions customers were already asking.
I’m not interested in posting for the sake of activity. I’m interested in the right person understanding what you’re worth, faster.
Strategy, writing and build, start to finish.
Ten years in this industry: social strategy, copy and websites for businesses that need people to trust them before they buy.
I’ve worked across organic social strategy, captions, website copy, blogs, SEO content, client emails, content calendars, reporting and website planning, mostly for service industries.
Technical, specialised and regulated businesses are welcome. I’ll ask questions until I properly understand what you do, and I won’t flatten it into something inaccurate to make it sound simpler.
On website projects I lead the strategy, the structure, the user journey and the copy, and I stay accountable through design, build and launch. One process, start to finish.
You’ll deal with me. Not an account manager.
I lead every project: the strategy, the direction, the standard it's held to, and I'm your point of contact from the first call to launch. Where a project calls for a specialist, I bring one in and I stay responsible for what they deliver. You never get handed to someone you've never met.
I ask questions until I understand the business. You don't have to arrive knowing the marketing words.
Scope, timeline and who-does-what are written down before anything starts.
Feedback is organised into rounds so you're not fielding messages all week.
The work is built to be used, not to be presented.
What you can expect from me.
A reason for everything.
Your content and your site should serve a business goal. Not exist because someone told you to post more.
Content that sounds like you.
I learn the business, the customers and your point of view first. That's the part most people skip.
Deliverables, on the date I said.
Defined scope, clear timelines, organised files, ready to use.
Straight answers.
Including when the answer is that you don't need what you asked for.
“Amy has been a joy to work with. She's responsive, creative and professional. She knows her stuff when it comes to being the force behind an online brand. She really steps into the shoes of a brand's ideal customer and speaks to them in a way that encourages them to become more engaged. I highly recommend Amy as a social media ambassador for brands and individuals alike.”
Your online presence should be true to the business behind it.
Marketing works better when it reflects the standard you already hold yourself to.
Which means not pretending to be bigger, louder or trendier than you are. It means being clear about what you do, honest about what you don’t, and giving people enough information to make a decision they’ll be happy with.
What it's like to work with me
